P45 – Right Direction 7″

The Eyes edition was first, I think – had a nice fold-out p/s. When I contacted the singer he didn’t seem to know about the P45 edition at all!

    (I have blog now too:

  3. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Nah don’t think so. Tearjerkers where from Ireland and P45 where from the UK. I might be wron so this is a call for Steve at Low Down Kids.

I wrote Teenage Love Song in 1978 when I was singer/guitarist with P45. We recorded it for Downtown Radio and it was released on a compilation CD and a sampler called Bloodstains across Northern ireland. I later joined the Tearjerkers and took the song with me. We played it at a lot of live gigs and recorded it fot UTV and for BBc Something Else series. Is it just coincidence that a group from the north coast have called themselves P45 and have a song called Teenage Love Songs??? I hope they are doing really well and making a fortune so that I can claim the royalties and retire to Spain in my old age!!!
