Steroid Kiddies – S/T E.P. 7″

steroidkiddies.jpgThis time the always informative Detour Records website showed up with some info at a google search:”Rehearsing at the legendary ‘T.J. Davidson’s’ rehearsal rooms, on Little Peter Street, Manchester, along with the likes of the ‘Buzzcocks’, ‘Joy Division’ Et al, not to mention “Michael the Security Tramp“, and his scary German Wolf dog, the band crafted and finely honed their skills until they had mastered four chords instead of the customary three!” Two great tracks and two EXTREMLY boring, long and utterly worthless tracks. I have a copy for sale/trade in case you’re interested.

Wow, more rare UK punk! Do you mean the other two tracks are slow numbers or do they plod along in a bad mod style?

  2. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Not even mod. The first track is some badly attempt at reggae and the last song is just…how should I describe it boooring maybe.

  3. ComebackQueen says:

These guys are amazing!! Those other tracks really arn’t that bad but the others are definately better.

You’re right, the other tracks are crap, I think we’d just recorded them at the time and were trying to branch out a bit AND value for money even if nobody liked them !. Should have stuck to what we were good at !
    cheers Rog.

p.s. We’ve recently got back together to rerecord some of our old songs. Check them out at http://www.myspace.com/steroidkiddies

Glad you agreed Roger. Too many bands would be totally upset :).
