City X – Ude af drift E.P. 7″

cityx.jpgI read somewhere that one of my temporary favourite bands the Tyrades do a cover of Coverboy. That sounds higly suitable for them cause it sounds like it could be an old Tyrades song.

City X first went under the name City Roots and appeared on a danish 3×12″ comp. named Concert Of The Moment released in 1980. Haven’t heard their tracks from that one. Anyone? As City X this is their first 7inch with three diffrent pressings in a total of 1500 copies.

Here’s a discography of their later stuff of wich I’ve heard none: 1982 Live Nosferatu Festival Comp. 12″ LP, 1983 Dansende Drenge 7″ EP, 1985 City X 12″ LP, Split with ADS. Grand Theft Audio released a comp. CD this year of City X called Elektriske Svin: order.

You are right there Pogel, this record is total killer. And yeah The Tyrades did “Cover Boy” on the B side of the “On Your Video” 7″ (Smart Guy records/Smart 019).

does any one know how many of the nosferatu festival lps were pressed

  7. Thomas says:

Soon there will be an album out on the Danish label Hjernespind, which contains the old Punk stuff by City-X, even unrelesed studio stuff from around 1980.

    Sounds interesting, so we’ll see & hear…
