Three classic 7inches. And more known now then they where back in 70’s I suppose. What a shame.
After their singer Paul Rencher left the band they changed their name to The Photos and got signed to a major. Here’s Satan’s Rats debute and it sounds like it could’ve been recorded at Spaceward Studios.

Hi!
Embarassingly enough, this is my first time hearing Satan’s Rats. I’ve wanted to hear the original of “In My Love For You” ever since I heard the Registrators’ cover years back. Great single!!! It definitely does sound like something that could have come out on Raw Records. Yet another thing to add to my “must buy” list it seems!!!
One more thing: recently I’ve had to sell a bunch of records on eBay in order to finance a move to Japan. Finding this site helps make up for the loss…you’ve posted a veritable treasure trove of classic shit on here!!!!!! Just wanted to let you know it’s greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!!
Steve
Thanks for the kind words Steve. Higly appreciated!
In my opinion, In My Love… is one of the greatest songs ever written or recorded. I had a Satan’s Rats c.d. discography ten or so years ago. Got rid of it, sadly, so I don’t have any info, sorry. Thanks for the post.
FUCK YEAAAA SATANS RATS GET MY KICKS ON WISH I HAD THAT ONE TOO I HAVE THE YEAR OF THE RATS CD THOUGH BUT VINYL IS WAY BETTER
Thankfully I kept this and the “You Make Me Sick” 7″, what a killer band.
In my love for you…r rips I decided to check this one too. Definitely these rips have something that on the CD isn’t there. Gracias!
This is a killer record, but Louise is my absolute favorite song by Satan’s Rats. That song blows me away every time I hear it.

The band changed their singer and became The Photos.
I think they were even better than Satan’ s Rats.
Steve Eagles has been the guitarist for Ted Milton’s Blurt for two decades now.
