Slime – Controversial 7″

slime.jpgControversial was first posted by James/Worthless Trash. But since James changed his concept the old postings is gone. And this is such a killer that it needs to be posted again. Jock Sayers vibrating style of singing is what really makes the Slime. Love it!

Loony is very reministic of one of those Damned songs. He who know which one will win a pink safety pin that has been pierced to hold my ass togheter.

On the same label as Bog Ugly posted before.

Slime are not from UK but Germany! It´s the best German Punk-band ever!

  2. Erich says:

    Great kind of humor.

  3. The Flakes // Drummer says:

This is the UK Slime and existed BEFORE the German Slime as far as I know. And the things I’ve heard from the German Slime is quiet weak. Sorry!

  4. Erich says:

I like Slime’s first 7″ (the krauts), but only if i manage to overhear the lyrics. dude, i used to be so much in that primitive shit …….

  5. James says:

Must have been someone else who posted this previously, I don’t even own the record, wish I did though!

  6. Speedreeder says:

    This is great stuff!!!!!!!
Did they put out a full record or anything?
    This is grrrreat!
    Cool looking sleeve to boot!

  7. Christian says:

I’m pretty sure this was Slimey Toad from Johnny Moped’s side-thing, hence the name.

  8. The Flakes // Drummer says:

Yepp you’re right about that Christian!

  9. Jim says:

I’ve not heard it all by the German Slime but I highly recommend to anyone to pick up the bands “Alle Gegen Alle” lp it’s great, from around 84 I think?

First time I’ve heard this UK one, seen it a few times and always wondered about it. Now I know, not for me! Cheers for all the cool posts all the same

Tha Damned track in question is Suicide, the b-side of Love Song. Please keep the pin by the way! Also check out the Capt’s my space for latest Moped update! http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&friendID=91994007&blogID=150235029&MyToken=9f459215-b263-4e8a-b4b6-d395025b4c07

  11. raff says:

well. as far as I remember it is basically Johnny Moped… without Johnny since his wife forbid him to sing :D And it features someone from the Damned (Captain I suupose), too, and indeed Slimy Toad was the main man behind it.

  12. I asked Capt. about the Slime 7″ a few years ago but he kinda avoided the question, not in an unfriendly way…..he gave me a cool story about Mr.Toad instead. To declare that he was going to stop playing guitar as he at the moment was totally fed up with it all,Slimey contacted some of the music mags and arranged a meeting at one of the bridges over Thamsen…Toad drove up with a van pulled out his guitar and amps and threw it all into Thamsen… My guess goes to that Captain might have been involved in one way or another as the guitar riff sounds pretty similar to the ones in Suicide.

  13. rsky says:

yes, there was Captain there, playing lead guitar parts.
They’ve started recording an album, but after the record company lost interest it remained unfinished/unreleased
