Death To The Sickoids was posted by Eric at Something I Learned Today about a year ago. I have problem loading his site right now so I can’t link directly to his post of it.

Canada’s Subhumans first and classic 7inch. Most of you’ve may have heard this already but can it be posted too many times? Nope. Amazing guitar sound and overall the band sounds like they had been playing their instruments quiet sometime before jumping on the punk thing.

First heard them on the Let Them Eat Jelly Beans compilation doing Slave To My Dick which was one of my favorites on there along with Bad Brains Pay To Cum. Enough of lousy writing. Download this now!

KILLER!! Great fuckin single a must for all collections. Not big on the Subhumans new release but this makes up for it all. My only piece of the Subhumans would be the lyric sheet from the Incorrect Thoughts LP. Strange, but I seem always have lyric sheets kicking around.

    Thanks for sharing this classic!

Unfortunately a must only if you already own it. That’s some expensive vinyl (especially for a cheap ass like me). You’re lucky Todd, it seems like lyric sheets are always the hardest things to come by for me. How many times have you found a good used record only to find it lyric sheet-less? Or the dicks on Ebay who know damn well the record came with a lyric sheet but make no mention that it is missing from the “mint” (yeah, right) copy they are selling.

  3. Great record, on my want list forever! By the way – what or who is a “sickoid”?

great stuff. ‘No Wishes, No Prayers’ 12″ is my favourite.
on a side note, gerry the bass player stood trial for taking part in the bombing of the Litton Systems plant in toronto (where they built parts for the Cruise Missile) in the early ’80. for more info on this subject read ann hansen’s book ‘direct action’. good read.

    Canada Subhumans > UK Subhumans

  6. fernando says:

C’mon Jeff, comparing Canadian Subhumans with UK Subhumans just for the sake of the name makes no sense. Both were great bands.
To Erich: I dont know who the word sickoid is referring to, but the termination -oid (like in paranoid, mongoloid, etc) means “with the shape, form or appearance of” (comes from old greek ‘eidos’)

Thanks JD :). Slave to my Dick can be found on their 12″ EP that might get posted one day.

  9. Jay Thurston says:

“Slave to my dick” is also on the first album, Incorrect Thoughts. I never found this record…Ken Jensen of Red Tide and DOA fame made me a tape with a whole shit load of Canaduh punk shit that I could not find on vinyl. RIP Ken.

  10. Cassidy says:

Very cool. ‘Oh Canada’ sounds somewhat like Holiday in Cambodia in the verse! haha good stuff though

    • jkron says:

bull shit…completely different. try actually buying the disk and not pirating the song…because you downloaded the wrong material. holiday in cambodia is the best punk song ever made. slave to my dick is a close second.
nothing against any band but you don’t know what your talking about.

      • ClashSUK says:

Hope you are kidding – HIC is NOT even in the top 10,000 best songs ever recorded. Jello is a TOOL and the DK’s are pretty much a joke – I thought this was common knowledge by now?

        jkron is JWRONG!!!
