The home of Erich/Good Bad Cheese sure had their good share of great punk bands. Here’s one of the first punk records out if Switzerland. Composed of members from the “alternative jet set” which I read somewhere. Whatever that means. Two great songs that sounds like punk. What a suprise!

LOVE it! cant wait to hear the reactors… appertently my 25 dollar bid didnt cut the mustard…
‘t was released in 1978 and yeah, it’sa greatie!
Fuck yeah!!! This is probably my favorite Swiss punk record ever (out of the 12 or so from the late 70’s/early 80’s)! Both sides, especially “Hot Love”, are total barnstormers with excellent loud guitar noodling! Someone once said that the Nasal Boys are how Crime should have sounded. This single blew me away when I first heard it years ago and still does in 2006. The reissue LP linked above is very exciting news, especially if the unreleased songs are in the same vein as this single. I wish I could understand the website, though, so I could order a copy of that LP. Too bad that when the Nasal Boys changed their name to Expo they totally sucked. What the hell is the “alternative jet set”? Does that mean they jet around in some alternate kind of plane, like a handglider or a hot air balloon? Sounds like some wanna-be “hip” phrase that some tosser came up with.
Try to order via this link, you can contact them via email through that as well…:

The other songs are definately in the same vein – even though Hot Love is the best song!!

PS:When Nasal Boys sounded like that, why should CRIME have to??
long live rudi!
Year corrected. KILLER!

Nah looks and sounds like present.
Ping Pong Punk is obviously a cowardish wanker. And pardon me if I use the word in this context: A mongo deluxe.
Ahahahaaa! Sorry i couldn’t resist posting it. I have nothing against Erich, and i am not implying he is a mongo either. It’s just that the retarded kid has big glasses and growls like Erich in Fear of god. Don’t take it seriously, it was just a caricatured comment.
Let’s compare:
Fear of dog

Mongo bongo growling luxery:

Again, the similarity are just the glasses and the growls, so don’t take it as an insult.
Hey, I just got hold of the 1978 LP by Expo on Epic Holland. Well, it pales in comparison with the seminal Nasal Boys tracks, but it is still very good – not in a “KBD” sort of way. It’s more of a “Post Punk Junk” kind of record, with jerky beats, Devo-like production by Dave Goodman (Pistols 1st producer). It has at least 5 songs well worth hearing. So it does not suck. I know Rudolph Dietrich hated it. But Rudolph is an uncompromising punk. You should post his fantastic response to the Expo disaster, his 1979 solo single “No CBS”. The cover alone is a masterpiece by Peter Fieschli (hugely succesfull contemporary artist today) it shows a spiky peroxided Rudoph in a pair of punk lederhosen !
When most people think of classic punk, they don’t always think of bands from the Confederation of Helvetica. This 7 inch is deffinately a good one. Die Wuste Lebt sounds familiar from one of the many Killed By Death albums. I’m not sure which one though.
