Is this better then their second 7inch posted some time ago? In some aspects it is. It’s even more sloppy, low-fi and obnoxious. Just listen to the end of the first chorus of Positive Thinking:”Positive thinking ouhhh na na na.”
This is some kids who can hardly play but manage to hold it togheter with one dominant factor: ATTITUDE. Clay who sings sounds even more like a muppet then on the New Trends EP.
Ryan of Break My Face have written a great article about the Young Identities:”We find the cheapest studio in town and book 8 hours for $300. In that one session, Just Urbain, The Young Identities and late ring-ins The Bodysnatchers…”

I don’t know if I can call ’em “mine” as soon as it’s posted over here. All the songs posted always have all the art included in the mp3 file. So if those files have it they may come from here.
Only for you Jawhn.
Have to pick up my jaw! Thanks man!!!!!!!!
sorry h-bomb sometimes the spam filter don’t work as it should.
i own a copy of this 7 inch. any one willing to offer a price?
Hahahah, the singer has the funniest voice ever! I don’t know how I’ve managed to miss this one before. This one goes on my wantlist for sure.
Be sure to check out their second 7″ too.
Ugh – these records are NOT THAT GREAT! The Upsets blows this stuff away! Only sought after ‘cos they are rare. Time to start buying stamps maybe, don’t you think?
The Upsets? Who are they? Taste differs. This is great stuff no matter if it’s rare or not. If you disagree fine.
Hey ClashSUK – I have heaps of stamps (even some nice Swedish ones)…lets trade: my stamps your records. Deal?
Peter – you can listen to the Upsets 7″ at the Wallaby Beat blog.
Ah the Back to Afghanistan one. Ok, that’s an higly overrated record in my opinion.
Thanks for this!!
I just sold this for $898 on ebay (A shitload of money really) I didn’t do a recording before I got rid of it so I’m glad it’s here. Allways reminds me of my youth this one, I was about 13 years old just getting into punk, and my sister and I taped this off 4ZzZ fm in Brisbane back in the day… always had a good laugh listening to this ep!
