Also known as SSG. A low fi swedish master piece. Side A and the last song on side B is studio recordings and the rest sounds like it’s done with a tape recorder in their rehearsal space. I got an email from Jan Jansson(guitar and vocals) some days ago so I guess he can tell you the whole story behind this.
Along with Unter Den Linden they’re criminally underrated. Maybe cause they ditched the whole dis look that was the law over here. They also sounded more US HC inspired then most of the early Swedish bands. But most of all they developed their own unique sound. Though I like both their EP’s they can’t can be compared to SSG live. Extremly well skilled musicians as far as I remember them.

Agree that both Sune and Unter den are very underrated! Same goes with Ernst And The Edholm Rebels
The music is great, lyrics leaves some more to wish for tho.
Btw, seems like track #7, “sla dej sjalv”, is missing..
Saw them reunited in Göteborg summer of 2006, really good! Agree, really good band!
Thanks for the heads up JG! Sla dej sjalv is there now.
Check out my “spotlight” review of this record here:

Thanks Stuart! Excellent writing there! Have to link you.
Hanx! The set gets better after each listening. Graphic!
Maybe I need to listen to this a few more times to appreciate it more but it just sounds OK to me on my first listen. I guess I was expecting more sloppy playing or ineptness on this one. These guys could really play their instruments so I guess that surprised me.
Peter, Sveriges framtid står på spel, själv har jag inte gjort nåt fel!
How about posting their second EP as that one is even better in my opinion. Fast, raw and very funny vocals.
Yepp, been thinking about posting their second one too. I have a live recording I did when they played in Linkoping/Sweden that I think sounds ok too.
Skip the second record, post the live recording.
