I don’t know what to say about this. Words can hardly describe the greatness of the debute from The Celibate Rifles. Energhy checked. Ok! Tightness checked. Ok! Melodies that stands out checked. Ok! Good lyrics checked. Ok! Lets download.

still a fantastic band. thanks for the post.
I’ve been waiting for this since you told me you’d ripped it – you know what they say – good things come to those who wait. See you here or at They Called it Good at the Time…
Can’t stop listening to this. Thanks for the best punk rock blog around!
enjoying this a lot….thanks for posting it.
Awesome songs!
wow this is surprisingly good. very, very catchy.
by the way – ingmar bergman died today. sob.
At last he meet the grim reaper.
he’s now eating wild strawberries with him, i heard. hoho.
Great record, and a severely underappreciated band. The live record, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” (CBGBs show in ’86) is freaking nuts.
I got to see the Rifles a couple of times in the mid 80’s, both shows were great. It’s nice to see this posted in it’s original configuration. Great Blog!
OMFG this is awesome stuff, thank you for uploading this. I’m a huge fan of the rifles and I’ve been looking for this record lot of time. It’s great to have those lyrics as well, there are few available on the net.
link for Kents Theme(They Don’t Listen).mp3 doesn’t work :{
can somebody fix it or re – post
anyway great Ep! cheers
Works perfect here. Anyonelse having a problem?
great post! Its funny the singer is actually the resident Australian expert on American Football in Australia, every year he is a guest host for the Superbowl broadcast down here. Thats actually how I first heard about his band, they were way before my time.
Halloween 1992 in Boston we had a wealth of Australian goodness. Saw the Celibate Rifles early on a bill at the Rat and then rushed to Cambridge to see the Cosmic Psychos at the Middle East. Good times.
That cowboy guitar Is badass!
SHIT. The whole record is kick ass!
I have fucking loved this band for more than 27 years. This EP is quintessential Rifles
