I think it’s hard to pick a favorite band. There’s so many good bands out there. But Husker Du is one of the bands that I can put on almost anything they did and still get goose bumps everytime. From their aggressive HC days like this or the New Day Rising LP. If I have to pick a fave it’s Everything Falls Apart. It’s the only CD I have in my car and I can spin it anytime and still not get tired. Hey I even love almost all the stuff Bob Mould been doing after Husker Du be it Sugar or his solo stuff. Check out Last Dog And The Pony Show from 1998 it’s one of the best stuff he’ve ever relased. Marvelous. No one can write such lovely hooks as Bob. Be it HC or be it Pop. Listen to The Silence Between Us from his latest District Line. I mean come on! How is it possible for a guy to deliever such great stuff year after year? There’s so much more that could be said about Husker Du but one thing is for sure: I fucking love this band!!!
And by the way here’s some of the best stuff I’ve seen:

It does not get any better than “In a Free Land”…thanks.
In the smoking lounge of a suburban high school outside Minneapolis, my friend said, “Man, all my heros are fags and Jews.” Hilariously, he was referring to Bob Mould and Marx!
Great post man, I hadn’t heard these. My personal fave up to this point was Zen Arcade. Thanx again.
You’re welcome Justin :).
[…] Get the 1″ from Peter! […]
We’re the unmonster cocks of blogging! “At least it didn’t hurt” – how many times have we heard that, huh Peter.
Yeah! “Have you penetrated me yet my lord?” “Yes my lady.” “Thank you I didn’t feel a thing.” “Roger that.”
Well, I call it “violence-free intercourse”! The Dalai Lama digs it too!!!!
You guys are rehashing Pete Townshend’s definition of The Who as a bunch of guys with big noses and tiny willies :D
Btw what great EP by the Huskers. In only heard it in recent years though, in the CD with Everything falls apart. I’m up with Justin, I think my fave was always Zen arcade, tho I loved LSR (Flakes Drummer, you expressed my exact feelings in your comment on GBM about said LP) and NDR too.
Ha ha fernando thanks for the history lesson about Pete T. :D.
this ep has been reissued on cd for many years now, i don’t think bob mould and the other members would appreciate you giving away their music for free. if the music is obscure and not reissued then it’s not a big deal but if the music is still selling then you know those corporate a-holes will come after you. i’m just looking out for you, comrade.

Couldn’t find a link. Let me know when it’s up and I’ll link you back.
cheers. xx
Awesome!!!! You can check out their demo’s (that predate the first 7″) at the great Noise Addiction blog. This band was my first musical love… I played that Flip Your Wig album to death.
Just curious about the insert you have scanned here, is that original? I thought the original was this: http://www.thirdav.com/hd_discog/img/iafl_lyric.jpg
No the scan of lyric sheet I have here where made by the previous owner. The link you provided is the original one.
Just recently acquired this fantastic record, finally! Thanks!
And just a note to james aldo, the tracks on here are different mixes than the Everything Falls Apart And More CD versions.
