Haven´t compared the original tape to the recent vinyl reissue. I just hope this sounds a bit more thrilling. It´s The Eat. And it´s a damngood tape that should´ve been a semi classic if it was released on vinyl back in ´82. Did they ever try to get any labels to release it? 14 tracks and 12 of them going from really good to great. Imagine they had a pretty tuff period here as HC was about to take over and all. But fuck HC let´s punk!

Ha! I was just thinking of posting the 10″ version of this. Great. I think that shows our love!
is “ballbusters on parade” what i think it’s about?
You have to read the lyrics and find out yourself.
Mmmm love.
Makes my balls bust.
In the meantime, my Internet connection busted too. :-( Hope to be back online soon …..
I have never really liked this band. I have tried, but they just seem to fall short. Thanks for sharing.
I like their 2nd EP…Thanx for this tape.
This is brilliant stuff. I’m not sure why but it sort of reminds me of the Young Canadians.
Hey all- thanks for posting this tape- it is nice to upgrade from my lesser quality “tape of a tape of a…” from the olden days of cassette tape trading. One of these days I’ll update my blog, too much shit going on lately- new job, etc. I have like 5 pending blog posts in my head, I just need to put them into novel-length format (ha ha)
New job Tony? So you’re no longer a punk business manager?
REALLY looking forward to some new posts from ya :)!
hey do you have the lyrics for this band i can’t find them.
i did compare the tracks on this to the it’s not the eat tracks. i’m glad i found this first. the tracks on it’s not the eat are too clean. i think the tape his it actually needed for this band. it just makes it sound totally fucking amazing. so now i have the who output by those nuys. it’s not the eat is missing th slow cathlic love which is a damn shame. thanks for all the good music peter.
A bunch of crunchers over here!
I was searchin on the net for this one and where Google has sent me? On the KBD blog, of course!! :D Hadn’t ever noticed before that you had posted this little gem, Pete. Well… Better late than never!! This is a great band, arguably the best that the sunshine state has ever produced and this tape makes no exception: fantastic melodic punk with a surfy edge. Belated thanks!! ;)
Thanks for supporting The Eat all these years! Alternative Tentacles has reissued these songs as part of a band authorized release.
