Yeah, Headache’s “Can’t Stand Still†sounds good…then I can find it on Ebay for around 1 million dollars!!! Hooray!! Jay Thurston’s comment on Anti Social October 6th, 2008.
OK Jay, here you go! Now go spend that 1 million $$$ on Ebay and remember that this site is all about that dirty punk money.
I’m 100 % sure that Can’t stand still was written after Colin Chew came up with that amazing drum beat as that has to be one of the most complicated drum beats ever. I have no idea of how many years he had to practice before he learned it, but I know that neither I or The Flakes//Drummer can play it yet. I’ve tried it so many many times but I just can’t do it. And pay attention to the speed as well! Holy macaroni Batman and up yours Massgrav!
No reason for your call sounds like Can’t stand still played backwards and a bit slower and it owes quite a lot to the Who. It could’ve been a pretty boring song, but luckily it’s catchy enough to get my attention, especially since I’m a sucker for songs where the singer mainly talks through the verses. And the way the drums kicks back into the song after the chorus always puts a smile on my face. Such a killer fill! Is it me, or is the bass slightly out of tune by the way? It’s me, right? It’s always me…
