Damn it, I’ve been trying to come up with something to write about this record so many times now, but I just can’t do it. Pretty f-f-f-f-f-f-f-f-frustrating to say the least as I really love this E.P. and the amazing out of tune vocals delivered by Tomas Carneheim, Umea’s # 1 punkrocker according to the articles posted on his blog.
My collector friend (and Sweden’s answer to Tom of Finland) Peter Jandreus always refers to Anders Angest as Sweden’s answer to TVP, but I can’t say that I agree with him, and I sure hope we won’t have to see these Swedes stagger up on stage with urine stained pants in an attempt to do a comeback as poor old Dan did.
For those of us who love Anders Angest there are a some more songs posted here. Farbror Punk says that these songs are from a demo, but I think it sounds like they were recorded at the same time as the 7″. Maybe someone will make a comment here and fill in the blanks… And if we have some audiophiles here, please pay attention to the amazing drum sound on these recordings. Fantastic! Wait, it’s not just the drums, everything sounds amazing on this E.P.!

This is great stuff! – has anyone ever put together some sort of comp of all this early Swedish stuff? Can’t remember if there was ever a bloodstains across Sweden…over to you

so far there has been 3 Bloodstains across Sweden comps and 2 Killed by Death (50 & 51) + 4 kbd tapes (that are a bit so so)+ numerous of Swedish bands on other bloodstains and kbd comps. I think the only comp Anders Ã…ngest was on was one of the tapes thou but I’m not 100% sure.
Genuine genius..yet another Swe-punk classic…best country in Europe (if being in europe is not an insult ) for punk . Thanks very much .
Maybe this post-punk 1985-87 could be something for some of you.
The name of the group is Spiegel, the singer is Tomas Carneheim from Ander Ã…ngest.

As far as I remember, you Swedish illiterates said this was part of the progg-fuck huset scene, but this is one of my favorite posts. The singer sounds retarded, the music equally simple, and I never feel guilt when I hit the bong for the hundreth time. This release is why I know Martin is a genius and has good taste–even if I would never allow that taste in my mouth.
Though it is streaming shitty, is paypal already fucking with my ipredator account? Fuck paypal, banks, and those credit companies!
