Erich posted this 7″ some years ago, but as his mp3s don’t work anymore, I thought I should post it as well. Can’t do you no harm, can it?
And just like Erich I don’t know anything about this San Francisco band, or even the year it was released. Some sites says 1979 and other 1980 so if anyone knows what year it actually was released, or anything else for that matter, feel free to chare your knowledge. And speaking of knowledge, I wonder if this band was an inspiration for Operation Ivy as they both came from SF, and managed to mix ska and reggae with punk without make a fool of themselves.
Enjoy yourselves (it’s later then you think).

Never liked this…and guess what?? I still don’t. Thanks for jogging the memory.
Haha Jay – has seen so many great bands live and still does know so little about what makes music great or else. This is one great little record, if you ask me. Unpretentious and through and through solid.
No, no, no, no, no…it may be unique, but it sure is boring.
I have a vague recollection of this band playing the Deaf club (’79 ?) & not being half bad with the deaf dancing a lot. As for Op Ivy, I don’t know if Aaron Cometbus’ older brother ever saw them or bought this 45, which would have been the best point of contact.
i agrees with the jay very boring and stale.
I always thought these guys were from Seattle.
I bought this single in Portland, Maine, in 1980, and it was a new release, not, I believe, spanning 1979-1980, so my best guess is 1980 proper. I wish they had toured, because I’d have gone to see them in Boston. File under the Delta 5 or Pylon.
That was from my shop… The Wax Museum… Thanks Mike (RIP)
I just posted an interview with my brother-in-law, who happens to be Stevie Dickhead:

More information than you could ever want, including some thoughts on the “scene”.
Where is Stevie Dickhead, I’m looking for him. I was the bass player, still living on St. John, where Steve came and lived her for a while. would love to talk with the band members again.
I bought this single when it was released and was very excited to play it for my friends. This was on the East Coast, and it was a hit. Thank you for posting it. You have done no wrong.
I am Stevie Dickhead

that record was something i produced and released on my label Walking Dead. current BBC and Radio Caroline DJ Johnnie Walker and Peter Worall were my partners. i was also the founder of the Deaf Club at the San Francisco Club of the Deaf. the lead singer was also involved with Club Foot in the Hunters Point district of the City
