Ok, now I´m obliged to do this 2 more years cause you decided to donate. And no I don´t mind. Don´t mind at all. There´s still soooo much shit(and some not so shitty) left to post so I think at least 2 years is necessary  if I´m going to be able to upload it all. And still there´s new old stuff coming in. So to celebrate it I here post a not so rare record but so fucking great. Their follow up was posted a long time ago and is just as brilliant so check it out if you haven´t. My Dad´s… is a bonafide classic but my choice is Your Ill. Yepp that´s right.

  1. Levi Johnston says:

The throaty engine-shifting vocals in the background on Car sound a little like Darby Crash.

I will keep from making a “you’RE ill(iterate)” joke, because I am so happy that the site will be around for another two years!

  2. MAFFISH says:

Thanks for that…never heard it. I guess the good news for the Frantix singer is that by the time the 7″ is over, his fuckin’ alcoholic dad is dead. Win Win!

  3. Ian says:

How can Your Ill be your pick!? Blasphemy!

  4. For my ears, “Alcoholic” is an other worldly amazing jaw dropper of a song and nothing else the Frantix did even comes close to that monster. Astonishing! The artwork on the EP is also one of my all-time favorites. The Frantix reissue CD that came out on that Aussie label about 7 years ago was a bit of a letdown because it didn’t include both EP’s in their entirety, nor did it include their entire 1980 cassette-only EP. Oh well.

Speaking of old punk from Denver Colorado have you ever heard the Bum Kon unreleased LP that came out about 2 years ago via MRR? Lots of great raw stuff on it.

Yes, Tony I reviewed it here but maybe you missed it :). 1980 cassette only EP with Frantix?? Do you have it? Please post!!!

  5. I musta missed your review cuz I don’t remember it. I unfortunately do not have the Frantix 1980 cassette EP, but that one song from it “Dancing To Punk Rock” was on that Frantix reissue CD.

  6. Ah, was your review of that Local Anisthetic comp CD? I am talking about a Frantix-only reissue- here is a track listing here:

  7. Bevan says:

The Australian CD is great! It has the best tracks from the two 7″ releases, early demos, and some great live material. Great liner notes. Give it a go! Turn it up loud at your next drinkin’ session!!!

  8. Harry says:

My dad really is an alcholic :( fuck dads
