Badtown Boys – Borrowed Time E.P. 7″

Yeah, a release from 1990 that is probably still pretty easy to find for practically nothing, and what a hell of a record! Borrowed time just might be the best song that was written in the 90’s! I don’t really know if these guys are still around, or if they called it the end a few years ago, but no matter what, they should have been major players.

Borrowed time is such a timeless punk hit it could have been done in the 70’s as well as today if you ask me. The other two songs are great as well, but can’t live up to the greatness of the title track.

Got a whole bunch of new posts on the way, so keep watching this space.

Sounds like late 70’s stuff — certainly have no problem with this being in my MP3 player!! Cool white vinyl too – I would say more Dickies than Ramones though.
Anyway –, shut up Erich. It’s music like this that makes life worth living. If it wasn’t for this kind of stuff, some people would be out on the streets, playing suicide by cop with broken beer bottles — so be grateful!

  7. bought mine when it came out! Still have it… still play it. good post!

  8. Thanks for posting this, I’ve never heard it before! “Borrowed Time” is a really great tune! To be honest, if I saw this EP in a record store and I saw the 1990 date on it I probably would’ve passed it over if it wasn’t a dollar or less. 1990 was a pretty crummy year for punk and HC, and part of the whole late 80’s/early 90’s crummy period, although maybe not the worst year ever… but “Borrowed Time” reaffirms to me that there were a few good records during that period!
