In Hans Backlund’s first comment here, he asked for a post of this 7″, so here it comes. Maybe not as distorted as he thought it was, but it still got a cheap and great sound over all. The guitar solos are actually adding someting to the songs, which is very rare in my book. In this case they are mainly adding a big and gritty fuzz, but with such an intensiveness it’s chocking. Then we got the sound from the hi-hat which is amazing as well. And then there are the lyrics! I which I could add something clever about the brightness of “punk man”, but everytime I try I get stunned by the wittyness and the deeper meaning of the poetry delivered by the vocalist.
As a side note I got this record from frequent commentor Laszlo, who had 2 copies for sale at the same time, this copy in EX with original insert, and one copy in VG + with a xerox copied insert, and I won this copy, which ended $30 cheaper than the shabbier copy. Sometimes ebay is so weird.
This gem never came in a sleeve, but the labels were used for the infamous “Bust! – A compilation of original early worldwide punk rock”. According to the band, Bust! was not the record label though, but just a name they used to fill out the empty space on the label.

First upload fucked up. Now the 2 songs are here in it’s whole glory.
Were these meant to be 20 second clips? If so, cool. If not….
good prank
Definitely not meant to be 20 seconds clips, will take a look at it as soon as I get home today to see what went wrong.
Nice to see some comments coming in pretty fast at least :).
Could you check the files I sent you and see if they are incorrect as well. They were OK before I uploaded them to the FTP.
Peter, both songs are in the FTP again, and definitely in their full lenght.
Nice choice here! This is a total tough guy record. I’ve loved it for years, especially “Punk Man”, and it’s cool to see it posted here. This is the kind of record that begs to be cranked up as loud as my fragile middle-aged ears will allow, especially during them gee-tar solos. I have actually gotten a few new postings up on my site lately which is big momentum for me! Cheers.

File sizes are on the small side.
First 20 seconds sound great. Would love to hear more!
Still short here, but really appreciate your efforts!!
Definitely among the best 23 seconds songs!
Both songs in it’s whole are up. Amazing record Martin!
Been wanting this single for a very very long time. These will satisfy me for now. Thanks for the upload!
Awesome. The extended versions don’t disappoint.
The guitar sound is great throughout and the drums sound like they were recorded in the fucking loo.
Both songs kick ass, but I have to give it to “Paperboy Song.” The guitar is more nuts and it clocks in at 1:52!
Thank you very much! A really great single.
It is a killer single..anyone got a spare for sale or
trade?
Solo sounds like Slaughter and the Dogs!
Thank you! I’ve been looking for this 7″! KBDR always delivers!
great post – paperboy has it all over punk man though – guitar is scuzzier, solo nastier & a neat & tidy timeframe…great stuff. It reminds me a bit of ebenzer & bludgeons ‘how i like this weather’ in a way – & that can only be a great thing! any other predator releases?
I’ve seen another 7″ from a band called Predator released in 80 or 81, but I don’t think it’s the same band. Not sure though.
Reminds me of the Bleach Boys – Chloroform single. good
