    Dear KBD Records,

I “play” with my mother in a black metal, Gang of Four cover band called Fang of Gore. Will you play with my father while we practice? He’ll pay you enough to bankroll Pusrad’s double LP and our debut single.

    she really puts out,
take her to a drive in movie.”
Thanks for any help, i’m addicted to KBD! Brilliant work, i tell anyone who’ll listen how great it is. You all know what i mean.

    • The Flakes // Drummer says:

Did you hear it on one of the KBD compilation LPs? Not sure what you mean when you said you heard it on KBD.

      Glad you dig the blog!

      • Nico Teen says:

        G’day T.F//D.
I heard it on KBD Radio yesterday, Sunday in Australia. I searched the blog, I searched the net, I asked my mates, I sold my soul to Satin, nothing! I haven’t come across it on any comps though it may be on 1. Either way I will find it if I have to listen to KBD 24/7 until it repeats! Thanks for everyones efforts keeping KBD running!

Do you have THE CIRCLES – CIRCLES single?
    Can’t find a rip anywhere!

  15. Sean says:

Does anyone know the song playing at the very beginning/intro? It plays at the start of this song, as well as Rock Steady, but I can’t find out anywhere what the song is called or if it even exists. Sounds like Rudolph singing, so it may be a KDF track, or perhaps an unused demo from this album:

    Hi,
Thanks for doing this website, I really appreciate that you have been collecting and providing records that are not available to the majority of music lovers. I want to share some of these tracks with friends that will never really get around to downloading them themselves. Do you know about cheap memory drives or something? I’d like to make a playlist from stuff here and send it away to loved ones without breaking the bank. I am almost completely computer illiterate but am still pretty ok with the postal system. Sorry if this question violates the sites rules but I want to share what you have shared with those that I care about. Thanks again.

  17. Hi Megan and Fuzzy Logic,

My name is Drew, I play guitar and sing for the new DC band The Split Seconds. We classify ourselves as classic pop punk, and draw most of our influence from late 70’s bands like The Buzzcocks, The Clash, The Damned, The Undertones, Generation X, etc.

Before this project I played guitar for The Coastals who put out an album on Dischord Records, and Boardroom Heroes, who were voted breakout band of 2014 by DCist magazine. I grew up listening to Dischord bands and seeing shows in and around DC.

Our aim with this new project was capture some of the rawness, integrity, and intellectual content of the DC bands we grew up respecting. We hope you’ll like the combination of refined songcraft and musicianship with raw, energetic attitude and delivery.

We’re recently put out an EP which can be heard at our Soundcloud. We appreciate your time and hope you’ll let us know what you think.

A punk song recorded 1996. The band evolved toward synth punk, post-punk, art rock sound but only this early raw punk sound captured on tape. Video features various glam photos of the band. ‘Dead Youth’ by Movement. I was the singer and a the one with the blonde hair in the pics.

    Greetings,

I came here because I was desperately trying to track down a song that I have on a bootleg cassette that I bought of Killed By Death #12 a couple years ago in Charlotte, North Carolina and I thought I might get a response from a knowledgable person here.

The cassette features most if not all of the songs from the original release of the KBD #12 record but has a couple additional songs, including “Used To Be Cool” by the Vamps, which is not featured on any KBD material from my research. This is the only song I have been able to track down from the bootleg cassette that was not on the original release (as far as I know, based off YouTube uploads and various sites that cataloged each record’s contents).

One song of intrigue that is on this cassette is a song I call “Baby Barbecue” that sounds like a typical late 70’s New Wave/Proto-Punk song that talks about drying off a baby in a microwave and in an oven, with the chorus uttering the phrase “baby barbecue.” I have a recording of the song on my phone if this piques anybody’s interest, I can’t digitize the cassette as I do not have the stuff for that. If this rings any bells I am all ears, its a great song and the contents of these cassettes I bought intrigue me so much (the record store owner couldn’t tell me where he got them, but he had at least 20)

    Thanks so much.
